'om du reser mycket' is Johan Lindvall's commissioned piece for Trondheim Jazz Orchestra premiered at the Molde International Jazz Festival in 2020. His aim with the project was to integrate his interest for film and music. The live performance includes a film made by Lindvall and videographer Jenny Berger Myhre. There's a certain lightness in both the music and the movie. Repetitions and rhythmic structures are key elements in both the composition and the film manuscript.
‘om du reser mycket’ is a homage to the bursting fantasy. How much can we demand from each other’s imagination?
‘om du reser mycket’ is about the dialogue: discreet suggestive conversations, voices that tries to approach each other.

Johan Lindvall (1990) is a Swedish pianist and a composer, living in Bergen. He’s got a master degree from the Norwegian Academy of Music and have released several albums as a composer and band leader on labels such as Jazzland Recordings and Edition Wandelweiser. He is currently working with the Norwegian artist Jenny Hval and has previously collaborated with artists like Christian Wallumrød, Nicolas Jaar and Mette Henriette.
